80th United Nations General Assembly reception at Maison du Luxembourg in New York City

On September 24, the Permanent Mission to the United Nations and the Consulate General of Luxembourg in New York hosted a reception in honor and with the presence of H.E. Mr. Luc Frieden, Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, and H.E. Ms Martine Deprez, Minister of Health and Social Security.
Nearly 150 people were in attendance. The Maison was packed with CEOs from the world of Finance, Medical Research, Start-ups, Business & Manufacturing, Artists, and non-profit organizations. Representatives from Arendt & Medernach, Elvinger, One Group and the Luxembourg American Chamber of Commerce (LACC-NY) were among the guests.
The Ministers were introduced to several VIPs on the business side, but also to Ms Nicole Peyrafitte (Pierre Joris’ widow), Fleur Maxwell (a Luxembourgish former figure skater) and several young Luxembourgers studying in New York and Boston.
