Regions of the Russian Federation & Sustainable Development Goal
Regions of the Russian Federation focused on the Sustainable Development Goals and their fulfillment. Russian dignitaries assembled for a key conference at the United Nations evidencing the country’s success with the various Russian regions of the country and the important changes in relating to their efforts re the environment, technology, and education to further their effort of their nation’s target in complying with the SDGs.
High ranking officials and affiliated colleagues made powerful statements and presentations accompanied by videos and statements providing evidence that “it’s happening in Russia”. After remarks by Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN and Mr. Alexey Borisov, First Deputy Chairman of the UN Association of Russa, a keynote presentation followed.
Ms. Taliya Minullina, the keynote speaker who is the Chief Executive of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, presented an impressive package for her region on its’ achievements and ongoing incentives. Ms. Taliya Minullina is an example of powerful, young, talented and new wave Russian politicians. She reiterated the importance advancements of Tatarstan by Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ambassador Abdallah AlMouallimi and the Deputy Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Mr. Mohammad Aamir Khan both noted the collaboration of their countries with Russia on the SDGs.
Our affiliated colleague, Mr.George Wen from Peaceever TV in cooperation with the 58th session of the UN Commission for Social Development presented an impressive update of recent Russian incentives towards the SDGs. The event was presented in association with the Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN, the United Nations Association of Russia, and the Republic of Tatarstan in event of the 58th session of the UN Commission for Social Development.
