The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards Gala, the signature annual event that supports the mission and vision of Points of Light, was held on the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum on September 26th, 2019. The gala included the presentation of The George H.W. Bush Points of Light Awards honoring outstanding individuals advancing solutions in ways that demonstrate the extraordinary traits of our 41st President: integrity, empathy, respect, optimism, conviction in the face of opposition, and belief in the human's power spirit to create positive change.
Of those who were awarded include Garth Brooks, recognized with The Inaugural George H.W. Bush Points of Light Award for Caring and Compassion, Maria Rose Belding, Founder of MEANS Database, and Khloe Thompson, Founder of Khloe Kares. The night included performances from the Yale Whiffenpoofs and The Beach Boys.
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton along with Neil Bush, Barbara Bush, Jenna Bush, and Chelsea Clinton attended to honor the late President.
